You come in off the street into a twelve-metre vestibule, and through it into the Great Hall — fifteen metres across, eight to the ceiling, and holding nothing at all. Every one of the forty-nine galleries has something on its walls now, including the hall eleven metres high and the gallery sixteen metres long. The two rooms that hold nothing are the hall and the way in, and those are meant to be empty.
